Raw Mango

Green mangoes are also called raw mangoes. It is translated as ‘Kacchi Keri’ by the local people. It is a summer fruit which is used widely to make drinks like Aam Panna, keri chaach, Sharbat and many other. It is also used in making various chutneys like dhaniya, pudina and aam.

Green mango is mainly used to make pickles in India. We can prepare mango pickle, mixed vegetable pickle, glueberry (lasoda) pickle and many more. Pickles are included in almost every Indian meal. RAW MANGO AND ONION CHUTNEY:

This recipe is prepared keeping in mind your health and your taste buds. So ingredients required to prepare the recipe are:

  • 1 Green Mango (peeled off)
  • 10-15 pieces of Garlic
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 8-10 pieces of raw Red Chillies (Dip it in water)
  • 1 spoon Red chili powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 small spoon Cumin powder
  • 1 big spoon Oil
  • ½ spoon mustard seeds
  • ½ spoon cumin seeds
  • Asafoetida powder

Method of preparing the Recipe:

Step 1: Make very small pieces of raw mango.

Step 2: Now mix pieces of Garlic, onion, green chilli, soaked raw red chilli, red chilli powder, salt and cumin powder.

Step 3: Place step 1 and step 2 ingredients in mortar and pestle tool to crush all ingredients equally into small pieces. Prepare a mixture of it and place it into a round shaped bowl.

Step 4: Now take a small non-stick fry pan and put oil into it. Wait until the oil gets warm and then add some mustard seeds, cumin and asafetida powder (hing) into it.

Step 5: Add red chilli powder into the fry pan and now spread the mixture in the bowl. Lastly put fresh coriander leaves into the bowl and serve them with hot paratha.
